Ahhh, nothing is sweeter that walking up Spring St. and all of a sudden your nose catches a clean, fresh smell. That is exactly what happened as I drifted across the street to investigate the newest store in town, Soap Stop & Body Shop. I knew I had arrived at a store that I was going to really enjoy and after spending some time looking around , I was right.
Kim, Kendra, Casey and Michelle are the wonder-women who have brought you this shopping pleasure. I am convinced they never sleep between the soap shop and The Nut house located at 54 Spring St.! Yes, that’s right; They are always busy either making roasted nuts or creating the original soaps that we are going to discuss. All these ladies live in and around Eureka Springs. We are proud to support our hometown crew.
Back to the soaps…………….There is so much to talk about that I am not sure where to start , so I will just dive in with a couple of my favorite items. Kim and the crew have a felted soap. This is a collaboration between them and local felter Vicki Hardcastle from Fleece and Flax. (see blog on them). These soaps are not only colorful, but useful as well. I will be buying these for unique presents to give to my friends. (shhhh, don’t tell) My second favorite are the bath salts that come in so many colors and fragrances. Again perfect for little add in gifts. They are just to cute not to buy .
Are you into natural products? How about the natural deodorant line made with natural magnesium. Or the Whole Farm soap made from beef tallow, goats milk and lavender. They use local producers to create this wonderful soap. How wonderful is that! The list goes on and on. Eternal youth clay mask, lotions, candles, bath balm and beard balm are all found here.
Now allergy season is upon us and I want you to go by
and pick up the shower steamers.
Natural and easy to use. Turn on the hot water in the shower,
let the pack dissolve while you stand in the relaxing shower flow.
It releases herbs that unclog your sinuses
and bring you the relief you seek. Unique, right?
They also have created bath bombs!
You just have to go in and check all these things out for yourself.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Stanky Dawg all natural dog wash. A great bath for your furry friend and good for their skin and coat as well. We never want to forget our pets!
Well I hope I have peaked your curiosity in a lovely new shop in downtown Eureka Springs. Please go by and welcome them and shop with them. We all need to shop small and support one another. I am so excited to go back and purchase the bath salts, bath scrubs and felted soap. Tell the ladies that you read about them here and as always have a delightful day in Eureka Springs!
