"My only hope is to leave Eureka Springs a little nicer - even though it's pretty perfect as it is", Dee Bright

When did you move here, Dee? And what groups are you active in? We moved here in 2002 when we bought lodging at Eureka Downtown Suites, I'm part of the Main Street Eureka Springs Board, Eureka Springs Preservation Society and I serve on the Historic District Commission.

Where is your favorite place to eat downtown? Mud Street! My family knows that if they are in town we are heading to breakfast at Mud Street. Either the new Annex or the original. Doesn't matter which because both are just great.

Where is your favorite place to shop downtown? Blackie's Backyard! We have kitties and I feed a stray kitty that lives under where Vintage Cargo is located. I've been caring for that little guy for years! I also know that my guests at Eureka Downtown Suite's love to pick up goodies for their dogs and cats to bring home. It's just great having such a quality pet shop in our downtown.

What is your favorite thing to do in Downtown Eureka Springs? Walk! This town is made for walking. There are in town trails that take you from one place to the other. Lake Leatherwood has beautiful trails all around the lake. Even just a walk around the Historic Loop is beautiful.

If you could make Downtown more awesome what would you do? I'd continue to work on making Basin Spring Park the best it can be. It's the heart of our downtown and I just want it to shine all year long.

What three words describe Downtown Eureka Springs to you? Fun, Peaceful and Beautiful. It's what brought me here and why I work so hard to keep it that way.
